About
Draiget, DevOps engineer. Infrastructure by trade, reverse engineering and odd integrations by choice.
I’m Draiget, a DevOps engineer. My day job is infrastructure: CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, and lately a lot of platform work around large language models. On one NDA project I built the infrastructure an LLM product ran on. I didn’t train the models, but I know how the pieces fit together.
Outside work I like the hard, slightly strange problems:
- Reverse engineering. The big one right now is FAF-RE: rebuilding the Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance engine as source that builds and runs.
- Integrations that were not supposed to work. In 2013 and 2014 I spent a year on a custom Minecraft client: an in-game cinema, custom networking, a client built on top of the symbols the Minecraft Coder Pack gives you, and a loader that protected the obfuscated client code in the JVM through a JNI bridge.
- Game server modules and hardware tinkering. Garry’s Mod binary modules, ASIC firmware tweaks, monitoring for all of it.
Some of it happens as the ZontWelg Team, a small group of independent developers. Some of it is just me.
